Biography
Marcus Drom founded Northgate Disputes with a single premise: business owners caught in a dispute need a firm that can both settle it and try it, and that tells them plainly which one makes sense. Before founding the firm he spent fifteen years in the commercial litigation group of a national law firm, where he first chaired more than twenty trials and arbitrations involving partnership breakups, fraudulent transactions, and contested acquisitions.
Marcus personally leads the firm's most complex matters, particularly cases involving diverted business, misappropriated funds, and disputes between co owners. He is known for early, aggressive use of injunctive relief to stop assets from moving, followed by a disciplined push toward a negotiated resolution once the other side's leverage has been removed.
He speaks regularly to business owner groups on partnership agreements, exit planning, and fraud prevention, and he serves on the commercial panel of a national arbitration provider. Outside the office he coaches youth soccer and is a patient but unsuccessful fly fisherman.
