Biography
Elena Vasquez-Reyes leads the firm's litigation practice. She has tried cases to verdict in both state and federal court and has argued appeals before the Seventh Circuit. Her practice centers on breach of contract, business fraud, and disputes arising from failed commercial relationships, including supplier, distributor, and manufacturing agreements.
Elena joined Northgate Disputes from the Dallas office of an international firm, where she defended and prosecuted multi million dollar commercial claims. Clients describe her as calm, precise, and relentless in cross examination. She also oversees the firm's judgment enforcement practice, because in her view a judgment that is not collected is a piece of paper.
She is a frequent speaker on litigation budgeting and serves as a volunteer arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County's mandatory arbitration program.
