Biography
Daniel Okafor leads Northgate's pre litigation settlement and mediation practice. He spent nine years as general counsel of a Midwestern logistics company, where he was responsible for resolving hundreds of commercial disputes with customers, carriers, and partners, most of them without a lawyer on the other side ever filing anything. That experience shaped his conviction that most business conflicts are solved by process, information, and a credible alternative, not by shouting.
At Northgate he designs and runs the firm's structured negotiation process, represents clients in mediation and arbitration, and serves as a neutral mediator in matters where the firm is not counsel to either party. His M.B.A. background makes him particularly effective in disputes over valuation, earn outs, and profit sharing.
Daniel has completed more than 300 mediations as a neutral and is a member of the commercial panels of two national dispute resolution providers.
